Web Design

Elerium Design provides two types of web design services:

Have your website custom-designed from the ground up. Your website is guaranteed to be unique.
Choose from thousands of templates. Elerium Design will assist you in customizing the template to your needs.

What are templates? What are custom websites?

Custom designed websites are built from the ground up by Elerium Design and geared towards your exact tastes.

Templates are pre-designed websites that can be used for your business or organization.

Here are the primary differences:

• Custom designed websites are guaranteed to be unique. Templates can be used by others. See our custom websites

• Templates are initially cheaper than custom designed websites, but will still require some level of installation and customization by Elerium Design. See our templates

The following rates apply to both custom designed websites and templates:

Regular Rate General rate for all services not covered below; Includes development of site information architecture, layout, graphic design and content integration.	$50 / hour
Dynamic Pages: PHP, ASP, .NET, advanced JavaScript, DHTML, MySQL, Flash, other script installation	Starts at $75 / hour
Website Maintenance Minor text and graphic updates only; all other services will be charged beginning at the Regular Rate	$25 / hour, minimum 1 hour per request
In-Person Meetings and Collateral Pickup/Delivery Nominal rate charged for driving & meeting time	Deliveries/Pickup: $10 per trip + $0.35/mile round trip In-person meetings: $0.35/mile round trip + $50/hour of meeting time (rounded up) Initial consultation: FREE
Mailing Covers mailing of collateral and other documents via USPS	Billed at cost to client
CDs Covers the burning of CDs for any purpose. Please see Mailing or Collateral Delivery if the CD needs to be mailed or delivered in person.	$2 per CD plus cost of Mailing or Collateral Delivery (see above)
Scanning/Image Processing Up to 8.5"x11" documents, grayscale/color	$2 per document
Printing Covers printing of grayscale/color mockups for client approval only on 8.5"x11" paper. Please see Mailing or Collateral Delivery if the printed materials need to be mailed or delivered in person. Elerum Design does not provide professional printing services, but we will be happy to recommend a printer.	$4 per document
Long-Distance / International telephone calls	Billed at cost to client
Photography Elerium Design does not provide photography services; it is the responsibility of clients to supply their own photography. In the event that you need photography services, we will be happy to recommend a professional photographer. Alternatively, Elerium Design can recommend stock photography which you may purchase for use on your website.	N/A
Copywriting / Content creation Elerium Design does not provide writing services; it is the responsibility of the client to supply final, proofed content. In the event that you need writing for your website, we will be happy to recommend a web copywriter.	N/A

Print Design

Elerium Design can also create graphics for your corporate logo, stationery, flyers, and other printable materials. We will assist you throughout the entire design process, from conceptualization to production of the product.

The following are average times you can expect for a print project. Please note that these are only estimates, as the total time for your project may differ.

Additional Services

The following services are necessary for your website, and have been hand-picked by Elerium Design as they provide the best bang for the buck. Note: Elerium Design does not provide these services, and only recommends the following businesses as a courtesy to the client.

Domain Name

The domain name is the web address for your website. For example, Elerium Design's domain name is www.eleriumdesign.com. Typical charges for a domain name are approximately $9-$12 a year.

Web Hosting

Web Hosting describes the physical location of your website - in very basic terms, a web host is a group of computers that delivers your website to visitors. Web hosts charge anywhere from $10 - $100 a month, depending on the size of your website and other services required. Note: high-traffic websites can require $1000s a month.

How much does it cost to have a website?

Creating and maintaining a website consists of several one-time and recurring costs. We feel it is important for our clients to be aware of these costs, and so we have created the following table for your convenience. Please note that these costs are only estimates, and that many of these services are provided by third parties unaffiliated with Elerium Design.
